I really don't know what the deal is with all these falling trucks. This government taskforce truck caused a massive traffic all the way from Apongbon, inwards Victoria Island through Outer Marina. The truck fell off near the edge of the third mainland bridge and landed on another government Hilux pickup.  Miraculously, no one died but the driver of the truck sustained some injury. Election tribunal nullifies election of PDP senator, Bashir Marafa of Taraba central senatorial

The election tribunal sitting in Taraba state has nullified the election of PDP Senator Bashir Marafa representing Taraba Central Senatorial district. In a ruling today, the tribunal ordered that APC candidate Yusuf A Yusuf be given the Certificate of Return as the lawful winner of the April 2015 election.

Dangote to Commission Tanzanian Cement Plant In October.

Aliko Dangote Dangote Cement Plc has concluded plans to commission its new 3.0 million metric tonnes cement plant located in Mtwara District of Tanzania on October 10, 2015. According to a statement, the company will also unveil its 25 hectares of Jetty land at Mgao village in Mtwara District the same day. The company noted that the commissioning of the new cement plant is part of its Africa expansion strategy and will be the fourth in the series after Ethiopia, Zambia and Cameroun, adding that cement plants due for commissioning this year include that of Senegal and South Africa, while construction works are ongoing in several other African countries....

Akwa Ibom House okays 10billion naira loan for state govt

Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has given Governor Udom Emmanuel approval to borrow N10 billion Federal government Excess Crude Account, ECA, backed loan. According to a statement, yesterday, in Uyo by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr. Mbosowo Essien, the House gave the approval during its plenary on Monday. The statement said Governor Emmanuel had, in a letter titled, Approval for Akwa Ibom State to Partake in the Federal Government Excess Crude Account, ECA, Backed Loan, sought the approval of the House to obtain a loan of N10 billion to enable him carry out his development plans.....
