Buhari On Hard-won Path To Historic Victory #result #Nigeriadecides #pollstream #2015election #breakingNews

Barring any last-minute invalidation of votes, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress is projected to win Saturday’s presidential election. Although only results from 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory have been officially released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, vote tallies by PREMIUM TIMES from the remaining 18 states indicate that Mr. Buhari will triumph over his Peoples Democratic Party’s challenger, President Goodluck Jonathan. Our independent collation of results from Nigeria’s 36 states and Abuja suggests that Mr. Buhari will win with over 14 million votes, representing about 55 percent of the vote. We are also projecting Mr. Jonathan to garner over 11 million votes, representing 44 percent of the votes.  Our analysis also shows that the APC candidate will earn the highest number of votes in 21 states while Mr. Jonathan will dominate proceedings in 15 states and Abuja. Mr. Buhari will also meet the constitutional requirement to b

PDP To Challenge Presidential Result In Lagos #result #Nigeriadecides #pollstream #2015election #breakingNews

The Peoples Democratic Party has said it would challenge the results of the election in some local government areas in Lagos State. Speaking to journalists at the end of the collation exercise in Lagos, Monday, Wahab Owokoniran, said that a lot of things went wrong during the election. “Most of the card readers were not functioning. And the manual (accreditation) that was done much much later has really disenfranchised a lot of people,” Mr. Owokoniran said. The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, polled 792,460 votes to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP who got 632,327 votes. Out of the 20 local government areas in the state, the PDP won only five – Surulere, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Oshodi-Isolo, Amuwo Odofin, and Ojo. The announcement of the results in Lagos began at around midnight on Sunday and was concluded by 8 p.m. on Monday. Nigerians should note the following after a winner has emerged #result #Nigeriadecides #pollstream #2015election #breakingNews

1. After election, life will still continue and no body worth dying for talk less of we politicians. Nigerians should guide against post election violence cos this may led to death and destruction of lives and properties. 2. We are one Nigeria Let us forget about Ethnicity, tribalism, Religion etc. Nigerians should move along with who so ever emerged as winner whether Presidential, legislative houses, gubernatorial, state houses etc. 3. Legal action if there was any irregularities. Politicians should discourage violence and seek court action with clear fact and claims. 4. Winners should consider and should include losers in their government. We are "one Nigeria" and we should have Nigeria in our heart let us not let who so ever emerged as a winner to bring hatred, violence, and chaos in Nigeria. Let's live as one Nigeria

A source told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the couple, who live in Igangu area of Omu-Aran in Irepodun Local Government area of Kwara State are members of different political parties. According to reports, the result of the elections, which was widely believed to favour a particular party in the area, was said to have created frosty relationship between the husband and wife. Trouble started between the couple when Bose, in the course of celebrating her party’s victory in the House of Representatives and the Senatorial elections in the area, made unpleasant gestures toward Abiodun. This was said to have angered Abiodun, who immediately pounced on Bose and inflicted injuries on her. Wikipedia updates Orubebe’s profile over attempted poll disruption #result #Nigeriadecides #pollstream #2015election #breakingNews

Godsday Orubebe’s profile on Wikipedia just got updated that he attempted to disrupt 2015 general election result announcement on March 31. Orubebe, the agent of the Peoples Democratic Party at the announcement of the presidential election in Abuja, had called for the stoppage of the presentation of the results on Tuesday. Shouting on top of his voice, Orubebe, a former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, alleged that INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, had taken side with the All Progressives Congress. At the venue of the results presentation on Tuesday, the PDP agent shouted, “You sent a committee to Rivers to probe what happened there. We submitted petitions to you about Kano, Jigawa, Katsina but you have not done anything about our complaints. You cannot continue with these results; we will not take it.” As Jega tried to calm him down, asking to be given a chance to respond, Orubebe shouted, “Mr. Jega, You cannot continue, go to your office. You are partial. We don’t h
